Harry Potter Actor Emma Watson. Who ever was responsible for discovering young Harry Potter actor Emma Watson to portray the know-it-all, young magician Hermione Granger is a genius. I can’t imagine anyone else filling that role. Emma only other acting experience prior to starring in the Potter films was acting in school plays. It is almost impossible to believe that she went from school plays to a Harry Potter actress and to be that good. When the three young Harry Potter actors are together on the same scene, it’s Emma Watson who is the most noticeable. Like her co-stars, the Potter movies have helped Emma get other parts too. When she is not busy making Potter films, she is co-starring with Richard Griffiths in a made for TV movie version of Ballet Shoes, which is set in the 1930s. In the animated film, The Tale of Despereaux, scheduled for release in December 2008, Emma has lent her voice to the film’s character of Princess Pea.
