Solar Heating

Solar heating is a wonderful concept. I love the idea of solar energy. It not only saves the environment but it is absolutely free. Why not take advantage of this great resource? By the way, wasn’t there a solar car concept in the works at one time? I wonder what happened to it. I bet it could go pretty fast in the desert! I guess there is the issue of trying to drive such a vehicle once the sun goes down. One could assume that the energy absorbed during the day could be stored for night time driving. I guess for now we will have to be happy with solar heating and lighting.

A more efficient way to heat our home is always welcome. Natural gas is clean and inexpensive, yet solar heating is free. As far as I know, there isn’t anyone who can bill us for sunlight. My wife and I stored solar lights outside. They are cool. You simply stick them in the ground and they absorb heat. Once it is dark, they turn on and use the energy they stored from the sun. There are no batteries to replace or plugs to find a place for. We placed them along the driveway and sidewalk and now have a well lit path each night.

What source of heat do you use? Maybe forced gas or burning wood. The wood costs less, but pollutes the air. To check out more information on solar power, check the internet.
